I think the whole week i was just waiting for conference, so i really cant remember what we did. This is going to be a short letter.
Conference was good i really enjoyed being able to listen to all of the talks and hearing the voice of the Lord. I think the overarching theme that i saw throughout it all is that God has a very deep and real love for each and everyone of us. There were also lots of good questions that we need to ask ourselves to do a self-examination. I would have to say that the Prophet took the cake with the best two talks, first the priesthood session talk and then his talk Sunday morning. I loved his invitation to repent and be better people and that we should do it everyday. Then he threw down the doctrine Sunday morning and told us all straight up that there is no other way than the sealing power of the priesthood for a family to be together after this life. He radiates the spirit and power of God with every word he says. I guess there wont be any announcements coming and i do love what Elder Holland (I think it was him) said. We are basically so caught up in the announcements that we don't see the spirituality behind them.
Saturday after the 2 sessions of conference we also had the baptism of Guadalupe. Pure miracle story right there. I knocked her down one night, she told us to come back during the day and 3 weeks later she is baptized. Its so amazing to see her faith. Even though she still doesn't understand everything and she is still learning she does know that this church is true and that the baptism we do is by the proper priesthood authority. I had the opportunity to baptize her and the only problem was the water. There was hardly any. Like probably 2 feet. She basically had to kneel down and we had to do it twice, but in the end she got baptized (shout out to the bishopric for not paying to have water).
And last, but not least, we had our transfer news. Last night at 10:30 we still hadn't received anything, so we went to bed. Then at midnight we got a call from the assistants telling us our changes. I of course asked "what the heck are you doing calling us this late" and he replied "giving you your transfers" so, i guess i couldn't argue with that. I'm now back in Puebla; i'm in an area that is called Alamos and its basically the opposite of the pueblo i was just barely in. We are opening the area, so we have no idea where anything is at. We also don't have the privilege of having google maps or any map for that matter. I'm also back as district leader, so i guess things will be fun. My new companion is named Elder Quinaya and he is from Peru.
That's it for this week
Adios
