Alamos

Good afternoon.

This week we opened area and i would have to say that we did it pretty well. We were pretty lost for the first two days, but after that we basically learned the area. It helps that it's pretty small, about 35 minutes to walk from one end of it to the other. When we showed up, the house was a disaster (thanks hermanas) there are no doors on the bathroom/shower, the door to the house doesn't lock, and its just overall in very bad condition, but luckily i'm a master cleaner so the toilet went from a dark brownish color to spotless white. The shower still needs some work. You would think that living with sisters i would be used to long hairs clogging the shower drain, but no i'm not. Its still gross.

The area is pretty cool. It's in the city, but its mostly houses so there are lots of people and places to contact. Everybody says that it is dangerous, but we haven't seen anything, so i think its all good.

The missionaries before didn't really leave anything for us, so we have just been looking for people from the area book. We have been really blessed and we were able to find a bunch of people to teach. We have found a lot of people and we are hoping that we can help them come to church. We found 2 girls who have been going to church for 2 months, but haven't been baptized. Needless to say we put a date for them in 3 weeks and if all goes according to plan we will move it up to 2 weeks. We have found tons of members too, inactives and actives. Overall it seems like most of the inactives have problems with the leadership of the ward, so we are going to have to investigate a little bit more to see what's really going on behind the scenes.

Satan has also been working really hard. My comp got bit like 1000 times by who knows what and i got really sick stomachly (is that even a word?) on Saturday. We are both doing a lot better now though. The assistants also tried to take away our p-day for basically nothing (long story, but we talked to president and now we have our p-day back).
A lot of other stuff happened, but i don't have my notes and this keyboard is the worst, so i'm done typing.

Adios
