This Week in Review

Ok, lets see, first off Elder Bucio went home on Thursday. I had to pack up all of his things Monday night and then i talked to him on the phone Tuesday and Wednesday nights and he was sent back Thursday. I don't know anything about when he will come back, so we will see.

On the bright side i guess is that all of the members missed us. When we visited the Flores family they were all super happy to see us and another member took us out to get tacos too. I had told the bishop what had happened and i thought that he would tell the ward members, but he never did so everyone thought we had just been kidnapped or something.

I held my first "district council," so i guess that is a milestone or something. It went fine. We had two training's this week. One in Puebla on Friday with all of the DLs in the mission and one on Saturday with the DLs in the zone. On the way back from Puebla on Friday my comp bought bus tickets for a bus with only standing room, so i fell asleep standing 3 times and almost fell 3 times. I wish i could have seen myself falling over, waking up, and catching myself from the third person.

We had some good lessons this past week and we were expecting to have around 5 people in sacrament meeting. We are teaching an 18 year old girl named Diana and she is doing awesome. She had read both the pamphlet and the Book of Mormon when we went back to visit her. So, we had her and a bunch more people lined up to come to church on Sunday. We had talked to her and her mom the day before and all was good. Then when we called Diana Sunday morning she said her mom wasn't letting her go to church. Then literally every other person we had invited said they couldn't come. Then we got to church and the 2 people who are always sure to come didn't come. We had 0 people in sacrament meeting and i think that's the maddest i've ever been on my mission. But, then i had a little chat with the man upstairs and basically realized that i had done literally everything in my power, so i felt a little better. But then the relief society president and all the sisters got mad because we were in the hospital (i called them all and told them that we wouldn't be coming, not much more i could do), but sometimes the Lord just wants you to be even more humble so now next week i'm going to apologize personally to the whole organization that my comp almost died and we couldn't make it.

The best thing about Sunday though was that i got to do some baptismal interviews for 3 people some other elders in my district are going to baptize. i really enjoyed it and it was awesome talking to people about how the gospel has changed their lives. Also cool doing baptism interviews considering that i'm not a bishop (now i'm the common judge of Israel).
